Key Design Draftsperson Role
We are seeking an experienced design draftsperson to join a dynamic engineering team.
The successful applicant will be placed with a team directly supporting upgrades, maintenance and development of a manufacturing facility for Australia's largest steel manufacturer.
Job Responsibilities:
* Utilise CAD software, including Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, to create precise and detailed 3D models, 2D fabrication and installation drawings.
* Design mechanical, structural and civil components associated with a steel processing facility, including but not limited to, civil foundations, steel platforms, stairs and structures, mechanical line equipment, lifting equipment, cranes and product storage.
* Collaborate with designers and engineers in a team environment.
* Ensure compliance with site requirements, company procedures and Australian standards.
* Ability to work unassisted when required.
* Maintain drawing documentation and records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 3-5 years experience using Autodesk Inventor 3D.
* Minimum 5-10 years experience as a design draftsperson in a mechanical or structural discipline.
* Cert III, Cert IV, Diploma or equivalent qualification in engineering drafting.
* Proficient skills in Microsoft applications.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Understanding of Australian Standards.
* High attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
* Ability to work full time from an engineering office located in Wollongong.
* Permanent working rights with no restrictions in Australia.
* Ability to conceptualise ideas and provide insight to design suitability.
