An Exciting Position to Join Global Defence Business in the Training Management Space
Are you a seasoned training professional with a passion for defence capability development? We are seeking a Defence Training Manager to lead and coordinate high-impact training programs within the air domain, supporting mission-critical operations and workforce readiness for a leading defence organisation.
Based in Canberra, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of air capability through strategic training design, delivery, and evaluation across a range of technical and operational disciplines.
Your Role
* Design, implement, and manage training programs aligned with air domain operational requirements.
* Collaborate with Defence stakeholders and industry partners, to ensure training meets capability needs.
* Lead a team of training specialists and instructional designers.
* Ensure compliance with Defence training frameworks, including ADDIE and Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).
* Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, using data-driven insights to improve outcomes.
* Support workforce development initiatives, including upskilling, onboarding, and transition programs.
About You:
* Proven experience in defence training management, ideally within the air or aerospace sector.
* Strong understanding of Defence training systems, frameworks, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across Defence, government, and industry.
* Experience managing teams and delivering complex training projects.
* Relevant qualifications in education, training, or defence studies (e.g., Cert IV TAE, SADL accreditation).
* Experience and working appreciation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS).
* NV1 clearance - NV2 desirable
