We are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to support APD Global across a broad range of people and culture initiatives, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, and organisational effectiveness.

As part of our partnership with SNM Consulting, we are seeking a HR Manager - Oceania to lead and deliver strategic and operational HR initiatives across the organisation, ensuring alignment between people strategy and business outcomes.

Role Overview

As the HR Manager - Oceania, you will partner closely with executive leadership and department managers to drive the organisation's people strategy and oversee the delivery of core HR functions across APD Global. The role will provide both strategic leadership and hands‐on HR management across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organisational change.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring people practices align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with Australian employment legislation. The role will also play a key role in supporting organisational growth, managing workforce transitions, and fostering a high‐performance and positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnering
* Partner with senior leaders to align HR strategy with business objectives and organisational growth plans.
* Provide strategic advice and coaching to leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, and talent development.
* Lead and deliver people initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, performance, and organisational capability.
* Drive continuous improvement in HR processes, policies, and systems.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
* Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
* Lead performance management frameworks that support accountability, development, and continuous feedback.
* Support managers with coaching and guidance on employee performance issues, development plans, and performance reviews.
* Facilitate conflict resolution processes and mediate employee disputes to maintain a positive work environment.
Workforce Transitions & Organisational Change
* Lead workforce changes including restructures, redundancies, and terminations in a fair, compliant, and respectful manner.
* Support leaders in managing organisational change initiatives while minimising risk and maintaining employee engagement.
* Ensure that all termination processes comply with company policies and Australian employment legislation.
* Conduct exit interviews and analyse insights to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance, Governance & HR Operations
* Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), and Modern Awards.
* Oversee HR documentation, employment contracts, policies, and employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Monitor employee relations trends, turnover data, and workforce metrics to inform proactive HR strategies.
* Support the implementation and management of HR policies, procedures, and best practice frameworks.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or senior advisory roles.
* Extensive experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and National Employment Standards (NES).
* Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence business decisions on people and culture matters.
* Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong judgement and ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
* Highly organised with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‐paced and dynamic environment.
* Membership or certification with the Australian HR Institute (e.g., AHRI, CAHRI).
* Experience working in a consulting or client‐facing HR environment.
* Familiarity with employment legislation across multiple Australian states and territories.
* Experience supporting multi‐country or regional HR operations.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a medical assessment and provide a police clearance.
