We are currently seeking casual Physiotherapists to join our friendly Allied Health team.
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university.
We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation (inpatient and day only) and surgical services.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join the Allied Health team on a casual basis.
The successful applicants will join our physiotherapy team covering a caseload of inpatients and outpatients including neurological, orthopaedic, amputee and geriatric rehabilitation, acute medical/orthopaedic surgical patients and aquatic therapy.
Responsibilities
Conducting initial assessment, re-assessments and discharge summaries
Designing best practice exercise prescription
Conducting education sessions
Monitoring of patients throughout sessions
Support members of the Allied Health team to provide high standard of clinical care to patients/families
Work with the Allied Health Team to help patients achieve their goals
Adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures
Contribute to efficient and effective running of the department
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and occupational health and safety
Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
Essential Criteria
Registration with AHPRA
Demonstrated good communication skills and well developed interpersonal skills
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
Desirable Criteria
Relevant clinical experience in hospital rehabilitation
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
Intermediate to advanced computer skills
