The Role:
The Registered Nurse:
1. Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

The Team:
2. Ward 5B is a 32-bed surgical ward. We care for a range of surgical specialties including Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive, Gynaecological, General, Breast, and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery.
3. The staff on 5B believe in a multidisciplinary team approach to health care that places the needs of our patients and their families/carers first through communication and collaboration to facilitate a safe discharge from hospital.
4. We provide a supportive environment for learners and place a heavy focus on teamwork to assist in facilitating the needs of our busy surgical ward.
Details of Appointments
5. Fixed term, part time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from 17 Sep 2023 until 3 February 2024.
6. Fixed term, part time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working 51 hours per fortnight, commencing from 17 Sep 2023 until 6 January 2024.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
7. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $69,835 to $96,428 pro rata per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
8. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $90,293 - $96,428 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
9. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
10. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
