PLI (Powerlift Industries) is a Karratha, Pilbara based leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries and an expanding business.
THE OPPORTUNITY
PLI is seeking experienced Fixed Plant Shutdown Supervisors to join our team, responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of mechanical project and shutdown works across various sites in the Pilbara.
Daily jobs include but not limited to:
* Supervise and coordinate the work of all trades and non- trade personnel
* Monitor progress against current work schedule
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate remedial actions
* Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed
* Provide technical guidance and support to the mechanical team
* Liaise with clients and other stakeholders as required
ABOUT YOU
* Significant experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, preferably in the Mining and Resource industry.
* Strong working knowledge of fixed plant equipment and maintenance practices
* Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 3 years experience in a Supervisory role within the mining and resource sector
* Proof of right to work in Australia (mandatory)
* Australian recognised Trade qualification (mandatory)
* Statutory Supervisor (S26 or S244) qualification (mandatory)
* Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical or Fabrication (mandatory)
* Current and valid Australian HR Drivers Licence (mandatory)
* Strong Leadership skills
* Rio Tinto Inducted (highly desirable)
* Demonstrate Fire (Mandatory)
* WAH (desirable)
* White Card (mandatory)
* Successful applicant is required to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug and alcohol screening test.
