Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewableplantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.

About the role

The Lubrication & Condition Monitoring Leading Hand is responsible for leading a team of lubrication technicians to develop, plan and execute lubrication and condition monitoring and alignment activities across the Bell Bay site.

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the optimization technician in coordinating alignments, recording data from alignments and scheduling work initiated from the alignments in conjunction with the area coordinators and site services

This permanent, full time position is based at our sawmill located in Bell Bay (Approx. 40 minutes from Launceston). Reporting through to the Reliability Manager, this is a Monday to Friday position on day shift.

Key responsibilities

* Produces accurate condition monitoring reports as required within agreed timeframe.
* Actively participates in developing and maintaining continuous process improvement to meet upon business targets.
* Effectively communicates issues and provides detailed information across teams.
* Assists to arrange coverage for leave within the team.
* Ensure equipment and machinery is functioning correctly and regular maintenance checks are completed according to procedure. Ensure team members are not operating any machinery that is not functioning correctly.
* Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with company procedures.
* Manage the sites preventative and predictive maintenance program in relation to oil sampling, vibration analyses and thermology to allow for maximum machine uptime.

Essential personal attributes

* Ability to work co-operatively in a highly effective team
* Qualification in Mechanical Fitting preferable but not essential
