The Senior Technical Officer is responsible for assisting the Biomedical Services Manager in supervising, training, and supporting Biomedical Technicians, as well as work prioritisation and planning.
The role involves acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, development, education, record keeping, and consultation regarding medical technology used within ISLHD.
This position is part of the Clinical Engineering department, which provides high-quality support to clinical staff in medical equipment use for monitoring, diagnosis, or treatment.
The department operates as a central reference point for Biomedical Engineering issues, following Australian Standards and Industry Guidelines.
