You are a highly skilled Avionics Technician looking to apply your expertise in electronic and electrical systems. Our innovative team is seeking an experienced professional like you to join our mission to advance the commercial space industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Electronic / Electrical Assembly: You will be responsible for designing, developing, and assembling electronic and electrical systems for our spacecraft.
* System modification and installation of electrical / avionics systems: Your expertise in system integration will ensure seamless interaction between various components.
* Harness manufacturing: High-quality harnesses are crucial for reliable performance. You will design, develop, and manufacture harnesses that meet the highest standards.
* High level soldering skills to a PCB level, Electrical circuit Fault finding and diagnosis: Your attention to detail will ensure fault-free operations.
* Work closely with Engineers to assemble prototype products based on schematic diagrams; accurately mark changes when instructions vary and report changes
* Conduct and record product tests and diagnostic activities to support the production process
* Mechanical enclosure / component assembly: You will be responsible for the assembly of mechanical components and ensuring they meet quality standards.
* Ensure all parts meet quality standards, Use of power tools
* Work with the Human Resources team to grow the Gilmour Space team as required, Other duties as requested by Management
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 3+ years of experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating environment, ideally within the space / aerospace industry
* Extensive knowledge of avionics and electrical systems
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Have a passion for advancing the commercial space industry
