Nepean Hospital is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join the Respiratory & Sleep Medicine Department as a Secretary. This is a part-time assignment working across Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30am to 4:00pm. In this vital role, the incumbent will provide both secretarial and administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department. This includes provision of support to the Respiratory Department including its Services, Head of Department, Clinicians, and Registrars. Key duties will include managing correspondence, coordinating schedules, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with communication between patients and staff. By supporting the daily functions of the department, you will contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality patient care. What You Will Bring To The Role Demonstrated administrative experience Excellent oral / written communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated high-level organisational skills with an ability to effectively prioritise workloads and meet deadlines Demonstrated experience in clinical letter management e.g. check and format letters Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to carry out a variety of complex functions that require sound judgement and flexibility and the ability to work autonomously Ability to work in a team Demonstrated skills and experience in a variety of databases and demonstrated typing skills Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
