About the role
At S&R Engineering and Construction, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer to join our team in our Bendigo office. As a full-time Bid Writer, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality proposals and tender submissions that showcase our capabilities and secure new business opportunities within the construction industry.
What you'll be doing
* Researching and understanding client requirements, project specifications, and the scope of work
* Collaborating with the estimating, operations, and technical teams to gather relevant information and data to include in bid submissions
* Crafting compelling and persuasive proposal narratives that highlight our company's expertise, resources, and approach to the project
* Ensuring bid submissions are compliant with all client requirements and presented in a professional, well-structured format
* Proofreading and editing bid documents to maintain a high standard of quality
* Providing feedback and recommendations to improve the bid process and increase our win rate
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar bid writing or proposal development role, ideally within the construction industry
* Strong research and analytical skills to thoroughly understand project requirements and identify key win themes
* Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, persuasive narratives
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
* Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
