About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager ANZ, this role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and administration, ensuring exceptional service, accuracy, and compliance. You'll be a trusted subject-matter expert, working closely with HR, Finance, and People Systems while safeguarding sensitive employee data.
Key Responsibilities
* E nd-to-end payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand (fortnightly and monthly pay runs) .
* Set up and maintain employee records, including changes to pay, cost centres, and reporting lines .
* College backpays and manage a variety of termination payments .
* Administer superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and government obligations .
* Prepare and lodge monthly Payroll Tax returns .
* Support month-end and year-end payroll processes ..
* R espond to payroll queries via the shared payroll inbox with a customer-focused approach .
* Produce regular and ad hoc payroll reports for the business .
* Partner with HR, Finance, Health & Wellbeing, and People Systems teams .
* Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legislation, governance, and internal policies .
* Act as a payroll and time & attendance system SME .
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and payroll projects .
About You

You'll bring:
* P roven payroll experience in a large, complex organization.
* Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, modern awards, and EBAs .
* Exposure to New Zealand payroll and Holidays Act (highly regarded) .
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and changing priorities .
* Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills .
* Intermediate Excel and Word capability .
* E xperience with payroll and/or time & attendance systems (e.g. ADP Payforce, EmpLive – advantageous) .
* A commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and continuous learning .
