Market Eating House operates several hospitality venues in Bunbury including Market Eating House restaurant, Market on the Road catering, and The Old Lyric events venue. Our business delivers a diverse range of dining experiences including restaurant service, large-scale catering, weddings, and private events.
We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our growing kitchen team. This role provides the opportunity to work across multiple facets of our business including restaurant service, high-volume catering, and event production.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking a range of dishes in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
* Assisting with food preparation and service for restaurant and catering operations
* Maintaining food quality and presentation standards
* Supporting senior chefs with production for events and functions
* Following food safety and hygiene procedures
* Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
* Working collaboratively within a professional kitchen team
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years experience working in a commercial kitchen
* Experience preparing a range of dishes in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work across multiple kitchen sections
* Understanding of food safety standards
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
Relevant hospitality qualifications (Certificate III or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.

* Salary: $69,000
* Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week
