About Our Client
WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Suppression Technician for an ongoing position with a valued client based in Mackay. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of commercial, mining and industrial sites, carrying out the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire suppression systems.

What You Will Be Doing
* Service, inspect, and maintain portable fire equipment; including extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels.
* Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and compliance inspections
* Carry out repairs, component replacements, and system testing
* Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and site procedures
* Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
What You Will Need
* Previous experience working on portable fire systems, preferably within the mining industry
* Hold a current QBCC Licence
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
* Ability to work autonomously in a field service environment
* Current Driver's Licence
* White Card (or equivalent)
* Ability to pass mine site medicals and drug & alcohol testing requirements
