Senior Network Engineer
Location: BRAYBROOK VIC 3011
Contract: [6-month]
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team on a [6-month/permanent] contract. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of Cisco Datacentre switches and related technologies. You will work with F5 LTM to manage load balancing environments and support hardware, operating systems, and software, including updates and security patches.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Datacentre switches, Cisco DCNM, Cisco FMC, FTD, ISE, Cisco Wireless, Cisco SDA, and Cisco DNAC.
* Manage load balancing environments using F5 LTM.
* Provide specialist network engineering support to ensure optimal operation of network software and hardware.
* Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for problem resolution.
* Develop and maintain the network environment by designing system configurations and enforcing system standards.
* Enhance network security and management through automation (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Cisco ACI).
* Report to the Digital Networks and Communications Services Manager on ways to improve network services.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience.
* Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification preferred or minimum CCNP (Security and Enterprise).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in coordinating network services across multiple sites.
* Knowledge of common networking and security methodologies and technologies.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of network implementation issues for Unix, Linux, and Windows-based applications.
* Experience with Fortinet firewalls.
Additional Information:
* Infrequent work outside of business hours and regular on-call support may be required.
