Arup currently has a rare opening for an Electrical BIM Modeller to join our thriving Queensland Electrical and Connected Infrastructure Team. The Electrical BIM Modeller plays a key role in the team with the primary focus being to prepare 2D technical documentation and BIM models for the projects, and to work in collaboration with other BIM Modellers in the business to ensure fully integrated, clash-free models while delivering high-quality project outputs. This exciting role will see the Electrical BIM Modeller working on a diverse range of projects across road lighting systems, electrical networks, intelligent transport systems (ITS) for roads and streets, pedestrian and shared use paths, public spaces, architecture, landscape, tunnels, railways, transport hubs, maritime ports and airports. The Opportunity Prepare detailed electrical services documentation and set up, manage, and maintain high-quality Revit models aligned with Arup and client standards Manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines while delivering accurate, integrated technical outputs Develop Revit families, improve drafting guides and BIM processes, and support colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing Produce diagrams, schematics, and layouts for electrical and connected infrastructure, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to industry standards Participate in project meetings, support internal CAD and BIM networks, and contribute to continuous improvement and personal career development At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Require A tertiary qualification in engineering, building services, drafting, or a related discipline, with at least four years of infrastructure drafting/design experience in Australia. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ProjectWise, and Microsoft Office, with desirable exposure to tools such as 12D, Revizto, Navisworks, or Grasshopper. Strong drafting fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-focused approach. Effective communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to maintaining high standards even under pressure. A desire to learn emerging technologies, contribute positively to team culture, and uphold systematic, high-quality documentation practices.
