What's the role?
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be the key link between St George and our mortgage broker partners – ensuring that they understand and trust our value proposition and actively promote Westpac to their clients. You'll work closely with a core group of active brokers whilst tapping into a broader opportunity pool across NSW / ACT, ultimately holding responsibility for broker NPS and settlement targets through the management and maintenance of these relationships.
* Manage and expand an active broker portfolio
* Develop strong broker relationships whilst providing policy and product education as well as coaching on loan structuring
* Troubleshoot pipeline issues, assist in mobilising deals through the credit process and provide solutions / escalations for complex scenarios
* Host and attend networking events including webinars, coffee clusters and development days
* Create business plans, hold regular strategy catch-ups and maintain a rolling applications pipeline
What do I need?
* Experience in a Business Development Manager, Credit Assessor, Broker or Lender role
* Comfortable and flexible to attend / host networking events
* The ability to work autonomously, manage a fast-paced pipeline and achieve set targets
* Skilled in developing mutually beneficial relationships with external partners
* Resilience, energy, enthusiasm, passion
