The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in driving strategic partnerships and commercial outcomes that align with this vision.
This role is accountable for developing and executing negotiation strategies that optimise value, mitigate risk, and ensure long-term sustainability for Honeysuckle Health and its customers. It requires a commercial mindset, strong analytical capability, and the ability to influence at senior levels to secure agreements that balance cost efficiency, quality, and innovation.
The Role
The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for providing customers of Honeysuckle Health with sustained value, choice and quality through the negotiation of complex or specific agreements with hospital and health service Senior Commercial Relationship Manager providers, which, through relationship development focus on representing the best value for money to customers, improve member outcomes and drive excellence in service delivery by providers.
To achieve this the Senior Commercial Relationship Manager will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement tailored strategies to:
* Lead high-impact negotiations with hospital and health service providers, ensuring agreements deliver measurable financial and strategic benefits.
* Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with organisational objectives, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
* Analyse market trends and competitive intelligence to inform negotiation tactics and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and value creation.
* Drive governance and risk management throughout the contracting lifecycle, ensuring compliance and minimising exposure.
* Champion strategic initiatives that enhance provider relationships and support progressive contracting models, including value-based care frameworks
Candidate Criteria
* Tertiary qualification in Health, Law, Business, Management, Marketing,
* Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations in healthcare or adjacent sectors.
* Strong financial acumen (pricing, payment models, scenario/sensitivity analysis).
* Proven ability to facilitate workshops, synthesise outcomes, and present decision-ready recommendations to executive stakeholders.
* Experience overseeing cross-functional teams and providers; adept at stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
* Dedicated to enhancing customers' health, wellbeing, and security.
* Demonstrates a strong results-oriented approach with strong relationship management capabilities.
* Embraces the mentality of fast failure, learns quickly, and persists to succeed.
* Strong initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of larger multi-disciplinary teams.
* Culturally sensitive to a diverse, international workforce.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
