About the role: You’ll play a key role in managing demand and inventory planning, working closely with Sales, Category, and Product teams to keep the supply chain running smoothly. This includes:
- Driving the monthly S&OP; cycle, ensuring key actions are escalated to the right stakeholders.
- Supporting product lifecycle management, keeping product status accurate across all SKUs to enable procurement and on-time customer deliveries.
- Coordinating with Sales and Category teams on current product launches and range reviews, minimising write-offs and ensuring procurement teams are across impacts.
- Maintaining rolling 12-month inventory projections to balance stock targets with cashflow needs.
- Developing and validating demand and stock plans with the Planning Manager, across different time horizons.
- Reconciling open purchase orders against MRP recommendations, promotional events, and supplier shutdowns.
- Preparing KPI reports and analysis, including out-of-stock performance, lead-time trends, and forecast accuracy.
- Providing timely stock updates to stakeholders and supporting demand planning when team resources are reduced.
- Assisting with other inventory and reporting tasks as directed.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years experience in FMCG or fast-moving inventory environments would be preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate across Sales, Customer Service, Operations, IT, and Finance teams.
- Confident in communicating with overseas suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenging assumptions and driving process improvements.
- Effective verbal and written communication, including negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- High numeracy and data analysis capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Experience with MRP/DRP systems or forecasting software, or equivalent planning tools.
