About Harnest
Harnest is a purpose-driven builder and developer focused on delivering high-quality, socially impactful housing across Victoria. We specialise in medium-density, affordable and specialist disability accommodation (SDA) projects—creating well-designed homes that support stronger, more inclusive communities.
Backed by the Mazzei Group, Harnest combines design-led thinking with practical delivery expertise, ensuring our projects are not only compliant and buildable, but genuinely improve the lives of the people who live in them.
We're seeking a Designer to play a key role in ensuring high-quality, compliant and buildable design documentation across our project portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Design you'll work closely with internal teams and external consultants to review, coordinate and quality-check architectural documentation—ensuring designs are accurate, achievable and aligned with Harnest standards. From time to time, you'll also contribute to in-house design and documentation production.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical rigour, collaboration and seeing great design translate into great outcomes on site.

* Champion best-practice Revit use across projects
* Support the Design Manager with design programmes, resourcing and coordination
* Collaborate with project teams and external consultants to resolve design risks
* Complete QA reviews and ensure compliance with standards and internal systems

What You'll Bring
* 10+ years' experience in Architecture or Building Design, with strong knowledge of Australian codes and standards
* Advanced Revit proficiency and experience coordinating documentation across multiple stakeholders
* Highly organised, detail-driven and able to manage priorities independently
* Confident, collaborative communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
* Degree in Architecture or Diploma in Building Design
Why Join Harnest?
* Purpose-led projects that genuinely improve communities
* A collaborative, values-driven culture
* Exposure to meaningful social and inclusive housing projects
* Supportive leadership and opportunities for professional development
