The Role:
As our HSEQ Advisor, you will report directly to the HSEQ Manager, providing support with both operational and administrative duties within the health and safety space for both our WA and QLD locations You will assist in maintaining and developing HSE documentation, updating and managing HSE data, and tracking information to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will support the implementation of HSEQ systems.

Duties and responsibilities:
* Be responsible for the development and implementation of safety management documentation and systems of medium contracts.
* Undertake low to medium level complexity investigations ensuring corrective actions are taken to prevent re-occurrence.
* Undertake HSEQ consulting as directed.
* Assist in maintaining accreditations for all relevant standards as required by the Company, including, but not limited to, ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001, as varied or amended.
* As part of the HSEQ Team ensure overall HSEQ compliance across corporate, project, warehouse and training operations.
* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop, policies, processes and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
* Conduct internal risk assessments to identify potential systems and compliance vulnerabilities and recommend strategies to mitigate risks. Stay abreast of changes in applicable regulations and industry standards to proactively address emerging compliance issues.
* Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
* Provide training and guidance on HSEQ policies, procedures, and best practices to staff.
* Ensure compliance with Australian Work Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, and other relevant legislation.
* Maintain up-to-date records and reports for internal and external audits.
The ideal candidate:
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will:
* Hold a minimum Diploma in Work Health and Safety, or higher (Essential)
* Have minimum 3-5-year proven experience in HSEQ.
* A sound understanding of Australian Work Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act and other relevant legislations and regulations (Essential)
* Be proficient and have previous exposure to HSEQ systems (ideally DoneSafe)
* Ideally hold an ICAM certification
* Be proactive and have sound ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
* Have high levels of attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Have experience in the development and roll out of policies, procedures and work-related instructional documents.
* Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
