The Opportunity:
ADCG is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Finance & Business Support Officer to join our growing team. This is a full-time (38-hour/week) role, ideally based in Canberra but open to all locations in Australia. This is a hybrid role, primarily based at a home office, with occasional in-office attendance in Canberra.
This dual-focused role will support both the Commercial & Finance Manager in delivering efficient daily financial operations to the company, and provide general business administration support across the company.
As a key member of our business support team, you will assist with finance administration and reporting, and business support activities. You’ll play an integral role in developing processes, maintaining documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between business units including Finance, HR, and Marketing.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Support to end-to-end finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, invoicing, reconciliations, and accounting
* Responding to accounts enquiries, from both individual and corporate clients
* Maintaining accurate financial data across accounting and CRM systems
* Monitoring and following up outstanding invoices and payments
* Supporting reporting processes and financial record maintenance
* Administrative tasks like booking travel, reviewing correspondence, ordering office supplies, accounting for company property
* Supporting the onboarding of staff and clients
* Contributing to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supporting Continuous Process Improvement across the organisation.
Key Requirements:
* A current AGSVA security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one is essential. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered. Australian citizenship is a prerequisite for AGSVA security clearance sponsorship.
* 1 to 3 years’ experience in finance and/or business administration or similar roles.
* Confident using MS Office, CRM, payroll and accounting applications
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail, ensuring high standards of efficiency and accuracy
* Customer oriented mindset and experience supporting internal team members, individual and corporate clients
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proven organisational and time management skills
Sought after but not required:
* Certificate IV or higher in Finance, Business Administration or HR is preferred but not required
* Prior experience in HR or professional services will be highly regarded but is not required
