Working within the Communications & Brand Team, this role is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality internal communications that support organisational priorities, promote a positive workplace culture and bring our strategic objectives to life.
About the Role
Reporting to the Media & Communications Specialist, you will:
• Develop and deliver engaging internal communications initiatives, plans and campaigns
• Create compelling content including newsletters, intranet content, speeches, digital campaigns and publications
• Manage and enhance internal communication channels, including the City's intranet
• Monitor and report on communication performance, metrics and engagement
• Identify opportunities to strengthen employee engagement and promote the City's employer brand
• Provide guidance and oversight to the Internal Communications Officer
• Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver consistent, accurate and timely messaging
This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities and enjoys working across multiple projects.
About You
You will bring:
• A tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience developing and delivering internal communications initiatives
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences
• Experience using a range of communication channels and platforms
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Sound organisational skills and the ability to juggle deadlines with confidence
• Experience in video editing and photography (desirable)
