We're looking for an Operations Supervisor to keep our events running smoothly and our venues in top shape.

About this opportunityAs Operations Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day venue and event operations.
You'll coordinate logistics for functions and events, manage equipment and deliveries, and lead a dedicated team to maintain the highest standards across all areas of the venue.
Your hands-on approach will be vital in event setups, stock management, and supporting both indoor and outdoor events, including those at BB Print Stadium.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage daily deliveries (food, beverage, event materials, waste, recycling, etc.)Oversee logistics for event equipment and vehicles (forklifts, utility carts, pallet jacks, trolleys)Lead and support event setups, pack-downs, and venue changeoversSupervise and motivate the Operations team, Cleaners, and Function Support OfficersMaintain clean, organised, and functional front-of-house and back-of-house spacesManage stock levels and vendor ordersPerform minor maintenance on venue equipment and storage areasSupport outdoor event operations, including line marking and equipment logisticsStep in with general cleaning tasks as neededWhat You'll NeedForklift High Risk Work Licence (or willingness to obtain)Experience in commercial cleaning and safe use of cleaning chemicalsQLD First Aid CertificateElevated Work Platform High Risk Work LicenceExperience in a similar role within an entertainment venue, hospitality, or warehouse environmentDemonstrated ability to supervise and develop a small teamQLD "C" Class Driver's LicenceDesirableChief Warden or Building Warden AccreditationElevated Work Platform High Risk Work LicenceExperience in a similar role within an entertainment venue, hospitality, or warehouse environmentDemonstrated ability to supervise and develop a small teamWhy work for Mackay Regional Council?
