POSITION SUMMARY
Downer Rail has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Delivery Manager auxiliary to join our team in VIC - Pakenham. This is a full-time permanent opportunity working on Victoria's new High-Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT).
The Maintenance Delivery Manager is responsible for leading maintenance on the HCMT fleet. Working a flexible 24/7 roster, this auxiliary will help cover planned leave of the delivery manager team. Outside of cover requirements the role will be flexible as required. You will provide frontline planning, technical supervision, and support to the multi-skilled workforce to ensure the maintenance targets are met. The position will also carry out special projects to improve efficiency in the depot and around the network.
About you
Trade or tertiary qualifications in engineering or related disciplines.
Significant experience in a rolling stock maintenance / operational environment.
Significant leadership experience, driving a high performing accountable workforce.
Proven experience in the maintenance planning & scheduling management.
Demonstrable application of LEAN methodologies.
Ability to create innovative solutions, implement change and initiatives.
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and how to drive it.
Ability to develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders.
Flexible to work shifts as and when required
