**Job overview**
- To work within the Janitorial Team across six sites, carrying out their duties effectively and efficiently in accordance with contractual requirements.
- To deliver the agreed services within the budget allocated to their role and to the standard required.
- To develop good Client and Customer relationships as well as key communications with other Janitors/Caretakers/Site Support Officer's or Site perintendents on the Contract and within the MITIE's Portfolio.
- To follow the Company's Health, Safety and Quality procedures within the course of the role and when dealing with the management of assigned sub-contractors when on site.
- To undertake successfully the training matrix specific to this role.
In your new role as a Janitor, you will provide routine housekeeping duties and janitorial tasks to support the effective operations of the schools. This will involve low level maintenance tasks and carrying out minor repairs such as painting, plumbing and joinery, along with some minor ground's maintenance. You will be responsible for security of the building including the opening and closure of the premises and grounds at prescribed times. You will carry out regular service inspections and ensure correct operation of the heating, plant and lighting facilities. You will prepare rooms and halls for a range of uses, including setting out and removal of furniture.

**Qualifications**
In order to be successful in this role you will have an efficient approach to work with good time management. You will be trustworthy and reliable. Cleaning experience is not essential as full training will be given.
