The Cloud Support Apprenticeship Program is for Australian Permanent residents who are passionate about technology and looking to start their career in the cloud.
Learning and earning within an apprenticeship means you can get both – a qualification and a career.
AWS Cloud Support Associates bridge the gaps between systems, software, and operations, and are not constrained by how "things are usually done." Over a million customers rely on AWS for building and running their applications and businesses. Support Engineers work on large‐scale system design and help in operational decision‐making.
The apprenticeship is an accelerated career development program for professionals who want to start or advance their technical skills. Training is broken into instructor‐led training (ILT) and on‐the‐job training (OJT). ILT is projected to start in September and consists of two days a week of virtual classroom training delivered by a vocational provider, resulting in a recognised Diploma. OJT is delivered in person with teams based across Sydney and involves three days a week at AWS.
If accepted, apprentices will receive formal IT training (two days a week) and paid on‐the‐job training (three days a week) over 18 months, leading to a Vocational Diploma in IT and an opportunity to join AWS as a permanent employee.
