We are seeking a specialist to join our clinical Haematology team in a dynamic environment with a mix of malignant and classical haematology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Consultative Haematology for patients with malignant haematological disease and patient blood management
* Bleeding disorders, transfusion, and anti-coagulant management
* Working closely with senior Haematologists on daily ward rounds, inpatient management, and exposure to next-generation haematological therapies
* Improving service delivery through patient blood management, preoperative assessment, transfusion management, and anticoagulant management
* Reviewing haematology patients requiring chemotherapy administration and other procedures
* Managing the Medical Day Unit, including chemotherapy, transfusions, immunoglobulin, supportive care, stem cell collection, and therapeutic apheresis procedures
* Conducting outpatient evaluations in private rooms for new and follow-up patients
* Teaching medical students and auditing activities, multi-disciplinary meetings, and treatment-planning meetings
Requirements:
* AHPRA registration
* FRACP qualification (Registrar position)
* At least one year of experience as a medical resident (HMO position)
