The Team:
Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Tasmania's largest hospital, and the Department of Medical Imaging within the RHH provides imaging for all of Southern Tasmania. Medical Imaging offers services across all modalities to the hospital, clinics, and Emergency department. Our services collaborate closely to deliver excellence in healthcare, aiming for improved outcomes for our consumers, workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
You will provide effective and efficient Ultrasound imaging services for inpatients and outpatients of Medical Imaging, RHH. Additionally, you will assist the Senior Specialist Sonographer – Ultrasound in providing clinical leadership, professional support, and ensuring best practice standards for ultrasound imaging services are maintained in accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct.
You will need:
* Broad knowledge of and competence in conducting a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment, including supporting team members and communicating with respect and understanding.
* Good interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with junior staff, peers, supervisors, managers, patients, and the public.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent full-time shift worker positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the publication date, this process may be used to fill similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is additional.
Salary Packaging:
You will have access to salary packaging benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 for meal entertainment per FBT year, among other benefits if eligible.
Allowances:
* Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
* A market allowance of 20% of the base salary applies to this role.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants must meet the essential criteria.
* Tertiary qualification approved by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry.
* Accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry; if practicing as a radiographer, registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
* Current and valid registration/licenses, which must be maintained throughout employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure these remain current and to notify the employer of any changes.
