Job Title: Propeller Systems Technician
Job Overview:
GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Propeller Systems Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting industry-leading repair and overhaul practices on DOWTY propeller systems to support GE Aviation's customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Learn to perform inspections, repairs, and overhaul of DOWTY propeller systems.
* Develop knowledge of technical instructions and assistance to be provided to customers within the parameters of formal technical documents.
* Undertake 'On the Job Training' to learn about technical publications and propeller repairs.
* Develop knowledge of applicable product line and aftermarket contractual obligations.
* Learn how to perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, supporting quotations, and capturing sales and cost avoidance opportunities.
* Maintain strong environmental, health, and safety requirements aligned to GE requirements.
* Utilize provided tools to track and maintain customer queries to closure.
* Undertake training as required to complete competencies required for Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical Workshop).
* Develop and maintain knowledge of, and adhere to, the Site Quality, Safety Management, and EH&S policies and other compliance requirements.
* Bring forward for resolution any identified risks utilizing provided systems.
* Assist and work with team members to ensure the efficient flow of work through the workshop.
* Actively participate as a member of the workshop team including contributing to discussions about matters of importance to the team and making suggestions to improve team performance.
* May be required to obtain an Australian Defence Force Security Clearance.
* All candidates for this role are engaged in Safety Sensitive Aviation Activities (SSAAs) and will be subjected to approved testing in support of GE Aviation System Australia's CASA approved Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP).

* Experience working in the aviation industry will be well regarded.
* Experience working in other maintenance industries is welcome.
