M365 Copilot Technical Engineers
to support the rollout and ongoing delivery of Microsoft Copilot capabilities across a federal government agency.
This role will be instrumental in enabling secure, scalable, and well-governed adoption of Copilot tools. You will work closely with Enterprise Innovation and business stakeholders to support users, manage incidents, and ensure optimal performance, compliance, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support the
end-to-end rollout and enablement of Microsoft Copilot
across the agency
Implement and manage
Copilot governance frameworks, including policy configuration and risk mitigation
Provide
L2/L3 technical support
for Copilot-related incidents, issues, and user queries
Collaborate with Enterprise Innovation teams to ensure
smooth adoption and operational stability
Monitor
usage analytics, adoption metrics, and potential risks
associated with Copilot usage
Ensure
secure and compliant deployment
aligned with government standards and policies
Troubleshoot and resolve
platform, integration, and data-related issues
Engage with stakeholders to improve
user experience, training, and adoption strategies
Key Technical Skills & Experience Copilot Enablement & Governance
Experience in
Copilot rollout, governance frameworks, and policy configuration
Knowledge of
safe deployment practices, risk mitigation, and usage analytics
Collaboration Platforms (M365)
Strong understanding of
SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
Experience with
site architecture, permissions management, and content readiness
for Copilot grounding
Data Governance & Compliance
Hands‑on experience with
Microsoft Purview
Knowledge of
sensitivity labeling, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and oversharing risk controls
Understanding of
compliance frameworks for AI-enabled tools
Identity & Access Management
Experience with
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
Strong knowledge of
Conditional Access Policies, Graph API permissions, and licensing models
Extensibility & Automation
Exposure to
Microsoft Graph, Graph Connectors, and Copilot Studio
Experience with
PowerShell scripting and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
Understanding of
agent management and governance
AI Literacy & Copilot Capability
Understanding of
Responsible AI principles
Experience in
prompt engineering for business workflows
Ability to
troubleshoot and optimize Copilot outputs
Essential Requirements
Active NV1 Security Clearance (Mandatory)
Strong experience within the
Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable Skills
Experience in
Australian Government environments
Exposure to
AI/Copilot or M365 transformation programs
