ACCIONA Perth, Western Australia, Australia is seeking a Site Engineer – Structures to join the Alkimos Desalination Project in Perth. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will work with the structures team to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work in line with project needs.

The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver Western Australia's next major water source: a new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. On completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean drinking water per year to Western Australians. The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028, including marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pumping system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
Job Description
Collaborate and provide support on projects carried out by the unit/department, in keeping with supervisor instructions, performing tasks delegated to meet project needs. In the bid drafting phase, draw up Tender Projects; in the execution phase, draw up Construction Projects.
Responsibilities
* Conduct weekly site safety and environmental inspections, support safe work practices, and compile permits to works.
* Review designs, perform quantity take-offs, and manage procurement through work packages and RFQs.
* Develop construction methodologies, raise RFIs, and compile detailed work packs aligned with design and specifications.
* Plan and manage 3–4-week lookahead schedules, monitor progress using Aphex, and analyse productivity data for improvements.
* Coordinate on-site construction activities, manage material deliveries, and maintain redline drawings for as-built documentation.
* Use digital engineering tools (e.g., Propeller, Revisto) for planning and design review, and promote their adoption across the team.
* Draft ITPs, verify site works against specifications, manage RFIs, and ensure timely closeout of construction lots and documentation.
* Verify daily site dockets and support cost control by aligning site activities with budget and productivity targets.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and ability to develop detailed work packs.
* Proficiency in project scheduling and progress tracking using tools like Aphex and activity diaries.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and raise RFIs to resolve design issues.
* Familiarity with digital engineering tools such as Propeller and Revisto for planning and design review.
* Knowledge of quality assurance processes, including drafting ITPs and verifying site works against standards.
