Occupational Therapist - Rural Care

* Assist clients in daily life and community activities through tailored interventions
* Conduct functional assessments to inform treatment plans
* Recommend environmental modifications and assistive technology to enhance independence
* Provide education and guidance to families, carers, and employers
* Promote healthy living initiatives and support early childhood development
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for clients
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical direction and implementing procedures across the team
* Reviewing and ensuring adherence to accreditation standards
* Organising student placements and providing mentoring support
* Supporting participant inclusion and adaptation in their chosen activities
* Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' emotional, cognitive, developmental, and physical capabilities
* Planning and directing programs through vocational, recreational, social, and educational activities
* Assessing clients' functional potential and recommending environmental adaptations to maximise performance
* Providing advice on adapting home, leisure, work, and school environments
* Delivering goal-directed early childhood supports and community education initiatives
