The Role
* You will be responsible for providing clinical duties within the Department of Orthopaedics, including inpatient care, pre- and post-operation, outpatient care, and community care.
* Promote and participate in outreach to rural facilities in the Whitsunday area (Bowen and Proserpine).
* You will also contribute to educational programs for medical students in the Orthopaedics Department, including developing a preceptor program for students undergoing their clinical immersions.
* Directly supervise clinical services provided by junior medical staff and actively contribute to the education and training of interns and junior medical staff in Orthopaedics/Surgical disciplines.
Requirements
* Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, or New Zealand.
