About the Role
This role involves providing therapeutic support and advocacy to children, young people, and their families who have experienced physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, or domestic violence.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
* Providing counseling services to children, young people, and their families;
* Coordinating health service delivery to the child and advocating for client interests within the child protection response;
* Providing consultation, support, and education to health workers on child protection issues and concerns.
This role is part of the Priority Populations Program (PPP) within the MLHD, which provides integrated services that work together to collaborate on joint projects, training, and client and family support as needed.
