Job Description We are seeking a motivated Biostatistician to join the joint initiative between Griffith University and Wesley Research Institute. Working with the Director of Clinical and Academic Research Collaborative this role offers the chance to work on impactful research addressing complex health challenges, manage and analyse large datasets, and engage with an extensive network of collaborators. You'll also have opportunities to establish an independent research direction while enhancing the outcomes of our cutting-edge programs.
This is a fixed term (5 years), part time (0.4FTE/40%) position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan).
As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range The full-time equivalent base salary will be Senior Research Fellow range $138,702 - $159,936 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $162,281 - $187,125 per annum.
Qualifications The occupant of this position will hold a PhD or equivalent qualifications/work experience in (Bio)statistics or epidemiology with a record of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of tertiary qualification and relevant research.
Demonstrated experience in using a wide range of statistical methods used in health research.Demonstrated proficiency with statistical software such as R or Stata, as well as Microsoft Office products.Ability to provide sound statistical advice in study design, analysis and reporting of research.Why Griffith?
