About the Opportunity
The Office of the General Counsel provides a comprehensive range of legal, governance, risk, resilience, internal audit, insurance, compliance and privacy services to help the University achieve its goals while upholding public trust.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to provide high-quality administrative and paralegal support across our legal, compliance and privacy functions. Working under general direction, you will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of these critical service areas, supporting a high-performing team in a fast-paced and purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and paralegal support to the Legal, Compliance and Privacy teams, including managing inboxes, preparing documents, and assisting with reports and presentations.
* Support legal matter management processes, including data entry, file handling, and responding to general enquiries.
* Maintain efficient administrative systems such as registers, databases, and online booking tools; manage records and correspondence.
* Assist with legal processes including leases, renewals, subpoenas, non-party disclosures and external document requests.
* Support the privacy team in handling RTI/IPA requests and privacy complaints.
* Contribute to legal research, drafting, and the development of training materials and legal documents.
* Assist with onboarding new staff and provide general office support as needed.
* Undertake additional duties aligned with the role’s purpose and responsibilities.
About you
* The occupant of this position will hold an associate diploma level qualification with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.

This is a full time continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW 4 Salary – Base range - $ 73,623.10 - $77,680.40 + 17% super. Full package range - $86,139.03 - $90,886.07.
