Medical Administration for Orthopaedic Surgeon
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our small, close-knit team supporting a busy orthopaedic surgeon's private practice based in Murdoch. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a boutique surgical practice that prides itself on delivering exceptional patient care and high-quality service.
This is a part-time role requiring two days per week, with some flexibility on which days. The ability to assist with occasional holiday leave cover is also desirable. You'll be working alongside our friendly team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our busy clinic.
* Communication: Serve as a key point of contact between patients and referrers, providing a high standard of phone, email, and written communication.
* Clinic Assistance: Welcome patients and help manage clinic flow to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
* Patient Logistics: Oversee the scheduling and management of patient appointments, including confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling. Organise and follow up on referrals, imaging (x-rays, scans), and general patient enquiries.
* General Interaction: Liaise with patients, referrers, and allied health/medical staff in a professional and personable manner.
* Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, data entry, correspondence, and other clerical tasks as required.

1. You will ideally have:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Confidence with Microsoft Office (experience with Genie software is a bonus).
* Previous experience in a medical or allied health setting (desirable but not essential).
