Here at Followmont we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a hard‐working, customer‐focused, self‐driven operator to join our high‐performing PUD team on a full‐time basis. This [Full Time/Casual] will be part of a fast‐paced team environment focusing on building strong customer relationships through local freight deliveries and pickups.
The Job
Flexible with working varied hours, including weekends and overtime with penalty rates [Start time and finish time]. Work to deliver high levels of service to our customers through effectively transporting general freight supporting the [Which Branch] community. Take responsibility for safely and securely loading and unloading a variety of freight with some manual handling of parcel freight. Complete daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork including pre‐start checks as well as filling out run sheets, PODs and logbooks. Operate a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload general freight [Regional only] [Optional].
Qualifications
Hold a current MR license and Forklift Ticket (LF) with proven experience operating a heavy vehicle for a minimum of 2 years. Have a strong level of resilience and ability to problem‐solve coupled with the capability to work within a fast‐paced, high‐pressure environment. Have a passion for going the extra mile to provide high‐level service to all our customers. Communicate effectively with a diverse customer base. Pass a pre‐employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, as well as a criminal history check if required.
