About the role:
If you're an Electrical Engineer who can spot a fault, stay calm under pressure, and work your way back to the true cause through a safe, methodical process of elimination, this role is for you. Grounded in technical knowledge you will bring practical ingenuity, whole‑of‑life asset thinking and the ability to keep critical equipment running while lifting long‑term reliability and performance. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll provide hands‑on technical leadership across design, maintenance, operations and outages — helping power a safer, more resilient energy future.

Key responsibilities:
Lead electrical design, scoping and technical oversight across operational sites
Find and fix mentality - diagnose faults and trace them back to their root cause using a disciplined, safety‑first process of elimination
Plan outages thoroughly, then get your boots dirty on site and work through the outage shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the site‑based team
Work collaboratively with OEMs, contractors and internal teams to resolve complex technical challenges
Shape asset strategies, standards and performance improvement initiatives across the fleet
Some travel is required for this role, including short trips and occasional longer visits to support planned outages
What will you bring?
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Washington Accord–accredited)
5+ years' experience that ideally includes exposure to LV/HV, generator transformers, switchboards, Generator Circuit Breakers (GCBs), motors, protection relays or Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVRs)
CPEng or RPEQ status, or a clear commitment to achieving it within 12 months
Strong safety mindset, analytical capability and whole‑of‑life asset understanding
A get-it-done mentality, hands‑on and practical approach to problem solving, with the discipline to work methodically, eliminate hazards, and drive issues to true root‑cause resolution
