A loving and professional family in St Ives are seeking a kind, dedicated and enthusiastic nanny to care for their outgoing, creative and sporty children, 6 yr old boy & 3yr old autistic girl.
**The days and normal hours are:
- 2 days - 19 hours**
**(hours may vary slightly from time to time)**
Monday 8.00am - 5.30pm
Wednesday 8.00am - 5.30pm
An ideal nanny will be fun and have positive energy though also caring, calm and nurturing. A nanny who enjoys engaging and being active and creative. You will need to show initiative, be a good listener/communicator follow the children's routines/schedules and provide stimulating and creative activities.
A nanny that is engaging, supportive and wants to make a difference to a child with special needs. Looking for a nanny that can build a long lasting relationship with the family and provide support for the little girl to help her live her best life with autism.
The role will consist of mostly caring for the two children. The eldest child attends school and school drop offs/pick ups will be required. Taking the youngest child to speech therapy appointments, gym and outings to the park and zoo. Additionally, some light household duties, children's laundry and bedding, cooking easy dinners for the family, online grocery shopping and contributing to the smooth running of the household.
The nanny must be comfortable with one or both parents working from home the majority of the time.
**The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows-**
- To care for the children
- Follow children's routines/schedules
- Cook simple meals for the family
- Assist with some light household duties, washing and folding family laundry
- Generally keeping main areas clean and tidy
- School drop offs and pick ups
- Take to appointments
**The family's expectations from their nanny are-**
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny/child care experience
- Childcare qualifications would be ideal
- Have experience working with autistic children or have a strong interest to learn and be a part of the journey
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children's check number
- Display strong communication skills and speak English
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Honest and reliable
- Non smoking
- Drivers Licence and clean driving record
- Up to date with all vaccinations
