The Midwifery Group Practice within the Women's and Children's Service Group at Townsville University Hospital provides culturally capable maternity care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, families, and carers. The team works collaboratively across antenatal clinics, birthing suites, and home visiting services to deliver holistic, respectful, and inclusive care.

* Salary between $ – $ per fortnight (HWF3).

About your opportunity
This role leads and coordinates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker services across maternity care settings. You will provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal support, mentor other Health Workers, and advocate for culturally safe care. The position offers both permanent and temporary full-time opportunities.
Requirements
* Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
* Identified position – applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
* Current C class driver's licence (manual and automatic).
* Evidence of vaccination against Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD).
* Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
* A probationary period may apply.
