About the role
In the position of Principal House Officer/Registrar you will be expected to participate in the provision of high-level primary health care and emergency response services within Prison Health Services and to ensure that safe, high quality, patient centred care is provided. In the role of Principal House Officer/Registrar you will be supported and encourage to expand your education and training in primary health care and emergency response and become an important member of a dynamic and passionate Prison Health Services team.

About Prison Health Services
Prison Health Services (PHS) is a rapidly growing division within the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service region, delivering primary health care services to detained, remanded and sentenced prisoners and Young Persons within the following correctional facilities:
- Brisbane Correctional Centre (BCC);
- Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre (BWCC);
- Wolston Correctional Centre (WCC);
- Borallon Training and Correctional Centre (BTCC);
- Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre (AGCC);
- Brisbane Youth Detention Centre (BYDC);
- West Moreton Youth Detention Centre (WMYDC); and
- Southern Queensland Correctional Centre (SQCC)
Dedicated teams are based in health clinics within each correctional facility. Service delivery is coordinated in close collaboration with Department of Youth Justice and Queensland Correctional Services under the specific regulations and routine of each individual centre.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
