About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team in Queensland. This role involves coordinating on-site construction engineering activities and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards.
* Coordinate construction engineering activities on site and ensure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards.
* Plan and administer job planning and programming for construction projects, including short-range and intermediate activities.
* Input information and undertake minor design on site, monitor, and recommend changes to design details to increase ease of construction.
* Exercise professional judgment in resolving engineering issues.
* Manage financial aspects of construction projects, including reducing costs and meeting budgets.
* Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
* Implement and communicate risk controls and actions involved in project delivery and implementation.
* Report on project performance, compliance, defects, and non-conformance.
* Conduct safety, environment, and quality risk assessments to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
Requirements
* Construction management and technical skills relevant to the program of work and discipline area.
* Experience in planning, development, and review of complex projects.
* Implementation of audits and schedule processes.
* Skills in document and record management, progress, and performance reporting.
* Risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls in project delivery.
* Proficiency in relevant software: Microsoft Suite; Primavera 6 (advantageous), Aconex, etc.
* Strong communication skills, including facilitating meetings and basic cost control skills.
