Are you passionate and knowledgeable in Food Safety and Halal Compliance, Quality Assurance and Biosecurity disciplines? If so, we have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Food Safety & Compliance Manager to join our team in Perth.
Responsibilities
Support the Unit Manager in maintaining compliance with Food Safety, Halal, and Biosecurity disciplines.
Manage Food Safety and Compliance programs in conjunction with the General Manager, Quality Assurance, and lead an onsite Compliance Co-ordinator to ensure excellence in performance from both an execution and management perspective.
Provide specialist advice and information to external/internal stakeholders in regard to Food Safety, Halal, Biosecurity and risk prevention with guidance and clear guidelines always available.
Seek out, quantify, and develop opportunities for process improvement.
Conduct relevant sections of the induction process and ensure all staff are inducted in accordance with Company and legislative requirements.
Provide support to the Darwin Compliance Coordinator for the Darwin unit.
Attend and lead quality meetings with the Operations Team and Department Leaders.
Maintain regular communication and updates to the General Manager QA.
Qualifications
Demonstrated success in a similar role.
Tertiary Qualification in a Food related discipline.
Lead or Internal Food Safety Auditor (RABQSA) qualification.
Recent and up-to-date HACCP qualification.
Experience in ISO certification.
Practical experience in food manufacturing with QA, HACCP, Food Safety.
Ability to communicate related technical information to all levels of Staff within the business and externally.
Ability to influence decision makers in appropriate control measures resulting from risk assessments and audits.
Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card.
Available for intermittent travel as required by the business.
Must be able to pass a National Police Check (at our cost).
Halal compliance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Experience in Biosecurity waste management and Approved Arrangements.
Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training.
