Are you an experienced Health Information Manager (HIM) or Clinical Coder with a passion for education, quality assurance, and professional development? This is your opportunity to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of clinical coding excellence.
As a Senior Coding Educator and Auditor, you will be responsible for enhancing the expertise of our Coding Services team by delivering targeted education programs, conducting comprehensive coding audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Coding Manager, you will collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to ensure the highest standards of coding accuracy across all inpatient episodes.
Key responsibilities include:
Education & Training
- Lead and develop training programs, including the Trainee Clinical Coder Program, to support team growth and professional development.
Auditing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct in-depth coding audits, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance coding accuracy.
Collaboration & Advisory
- Work closely with clinicians and coding professionals to provide insights into
casemix, coding, and clinical documentation improvement.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay ahead of industry changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
