About the role
The Senior Manager - Strategy & Consulting is responsible for leading a team of specialists and acting as a trusted cyber security advisor to senior stakeholders in Australia's largest organisations.
The role involves contributing throughout the engagement lifecycle, from identifying and qualifying opportunities, to delivery, managing engagement commercials, closure, and ongoing client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate customers' business needs and advise on strategic cyber security planning.
Manage relationships with customers, including change management, account planning, and developing key relationships for follow-on work.
Manage engagement teams, including project scoping, work plan development, facilitation, and project management.
Contribute to managing engagement financials to ensure sustainable and profitable delivery.
Plan and coordinate resources for product implementation and strategic proposals.
Perform analysis to identify value-creating opportunities, develop conclusions, and present findings at the executive level.
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams to foster learning and capability uplift.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 8 years in cyber security, national intelligence, or national policy, preferably with a global consulting firm or large technology company.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and leading teams to build capabilities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Proven track record of impactful client outcomes, team management, and delegation.
- Strategic mindset with understanding of broader business contexts.
- Ability to identify opportunities, qualify, and sell engagements.
- Strong leadership qualities and experience engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting findings.
