Site Support Technician – FIFO
The Site Support Technician (FIFO) is responsible for delivering comprehensive on‑site IT support services to customers at specified FIFO locations. This role ensures all incidents and requests are resolved in a safe, timely, and efficient manner in accordance with predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for end‑user devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile phones, both on‑site and remotely.
* Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of computer devices and related hardware/software components.
* Resolve incidents and requests promptly, minimizing user impact and ensuring compliance with predefined SLAs.
* Collaborate with the Service Desk, infrastructure teams, and application teams to deliver seamless customer support and maintain service continuity.
* Deploy and support tablets and other IT devices at remote sites while engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Technical Skills
* Strong skills in troubleshooting desktop issues and providing IT support for hardware and software.
* Knowledge of Active Directory, Symantec security software, Microsoft Office 365, Samsung Knox, and Two‑Factor Authentication.
* Experience in supporting IT infrastructure, especially in remote or challenging environments.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical people.
* Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, with relevant education and certifications in IT support.
