The role

Continuing its tradition for excellence in the education of girls, Melbourne Girls Grammar is seeking a knowledgeable, innovative, and engaging educator to join the collaborative team in our Music Faculty.

You are passionate about Music Education and have a demonstrated capacity to engage and motivate students. You have a talent for curriculum design and bring strong music technology skills to the Middle and Senior Years Programs. You will be an experienced choral conductor who can work across a range of music styles to support a shared language of learning across MGGS.

MGGS seeks Teachers with an inclusive and a strengths-based approach to program leadership and development. You will bring together the unique skills of the students and staff you work with to create memorable learning experiences and musical performances that celebrate diversity and excellence.

Individuals with a passion for choral music, classroom teaching and composition are encouraged to apply. High level accompanying skills on piano would be well regarded.

Suitable applicants must have the ability to teach across the Middle and Senior years curriculum and be able to inspire creativity in staff and students.

The notebook computer and our LMS are an integral part of the teaching and learning process at our School and it is expected teaching and learning will incorporate their use along with other technologies available to you. Knowledge and implementation of a variety of online and multimedia programs to support student learning is highly desirable.
