St Vincent de Paul Society is proudly participating in Tasmania's Container Refund Scheme, Recycle Rewards. Our new warehouse in Spreyton is open six days a week (closed Monday), and we are looking for a Warehouse Operator to work part-time, 39 hours per fortnight including weekend work to ensure we meet customer and community needs.
The warehouse processes the received containers following contractual requirements. Using purpose-built equipment and machines, the sorting and cleaning of containers is a primarily automated process. Our operators provide exemplary customer service to members of the public, facilitate collections and operate machinery, including forklifts and MR trucks.

The successful applicant must hold a current compliant National Police Check, along with a valid Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People Card or the ability to obtain.

Qualifications and Requirements
Demonstrated warehouse, waste management, or other relevant experience.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Knowledge and understanding of secure work practices and a proactive approach to WHS.
A flexible and willing approach to working in a diverse team.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and demands.
Current compliant National Police Check and Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People Card or ability to obtain.
