Cable Jointer Role
We are seeking a skilled Cable Jointer to join our team in Tweed Heads.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the general construction, installation, connection, maintenance and repair of both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) distribution network assets and equipment with emphasis on those components directly related to the underground network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply knowledge required to undertake the Cable Jointer role in an energy distribution environment.
* Experience working effectively during times of both planned and unplanned events.
* Participate in audits and safety processes.
* Have knowledge of relevant system switching, access procedure principles, tools, plant and equipment.
* Comply with enterprise WHS and environmental procedures and processes.
* Apply Cable Jointer trade skills in an energy distribution environment.
* Work closely with others in a team environment.
* Liaise with stakeholders and customers.
* Use computer skills appropriate for the role.
Required Qualifications:
* Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing with electives in Install, Maintain, Fault Find, Switching and repair or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
* Drivers licence.
* WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate.
* Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business requirements.
